Dr. Dimmich graduated with honors from Lehigh University with a B.A. in biology in 1978 and was elected for membership in Phi Beta Kappa prior to graduating from Lehigh. He went on to graduate with High Distinction and receive his D.M.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1982. He served his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Oklahoma (University Hospital) Health Sciences Center from 1982 to 1986, serving as chief resident from 1985 to 1986.
Dr. Dimmich began his private practice in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Allentown in 1986. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (board certified). He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of OMS, and the Pennsylvania Society of OMS. He is a member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology, the International Congress of Oral Implantology, the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Lehigh Valley Dental Society.
Dr. Dimmich is actively involved in teaching at the general practice dental residency programs in the Lehigh Valley and he has received the Teacher of the Year Award on more than one occasion from both Sacred Heart Hospital and Lehigh Valley Hospital.
