Brow Lift

One of the most prominent places signs of aging show up is the forehead. Years of joyful and surprised expressions can really accumulate. Fortunately, brow lifts, or forehead lifts, are an easy solution to this issue and can make you appear decades younger. Because it is a relatively minor surgery we are able to perform other cosmetic surgeries at the same time, allowing for quicker recovery time.

Pre-Operative Instructions

As with preparation for any surgery, we will need a list of any medications you are taking, along with any allergies you may have. Using this information and your medical history we can formulate a plan on how to proceed with the surgical procedure. We will take pictures of your face and profile to act as a point of reference as well as a way to show you what to expect once we have completed the surgery.

The Procedure

To remove the wrinkles from the forehead and lift the brow we make an incision at the top of the forehead from the front of one ear to the other. Once the incision is made we lift (elevate) the forehead and brows while removing excess skin. Once the forehead has been elevated, we suture the incision closed.

Post-Operative Information

We will prescribe antibiotics to you to fight infection while the site is healing. It is normal for the site to bruise and swell—we encourage a cold compress to alleviate these symptoms. The healing process usually takes a few weeks.
